ATTENTION: POSTPONED DUE TO SNOW: Animal DREAMS Open House – Come Celebrate Saturday

PITTSFIELD – Berkshire Animal D.R.E.A.M.S. announced today that the non-profit feline rescue organization will be holding an open house Saturday to celebrate the first anniversary of its new downtown location.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 9th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Animal D.R.E.A.M.S. headquarters at 441 North Street.

“This location has provided a tremendous opportunity to generate more exposure for the organization and to better educate the community about our mission,” said Executive Director Yvonne Borsody. “We encourage everyone to come out and celebrate our accomplishments over the past year and learn about our plans to further fulfill our mission in 2013.”

The open house will include entertaining live music, raffle prizes, light refreshments and an opportunity meet many of the rescued cats that are now available for adoption.

Berkshire Animal D.R.E.A.M.S.’ mission is to improve the lives and promote the humane care and acceptance of feral cats throughout Berkshire County and beyond. Through Trap- Neuter-Return (TNR) the population of feral cats will become stabilized, with healthy cats and a zero reproductive rate. Through advocacy, education and action, we raise awareness and activism among citizens, animal care professionals, local government and the business community. While many of the cats that are trapped, neutered and stabilized are returned to the community, some felines are appropriate for adoption. Many of these adoptable cats are located at Animal D.R.E.A.M.S. headquarters where you can meet them.
